(HCD), a leading provider of insurance-covered medical supplies for people with chronic health conditions, celebrated the company’s 25th anniversary on August 15th and the same day marked another major milestone with 5 million orders shipped to customers throughout the United States.

HCD was founded by Gordy Fox on August 15, 1996, with the goal of helping people with incontinence get the products they needed to live with confidence and dignity. As a caregiver to his ailing father, Gordy saw how difficult it could be for caregivers to get their loved one the supplies they needed. Gordy envisioned a company able to provide direct support to patients and caregivers by taking care of the medical paperwork, serving as a liaison between the patient, the doctor’s office, and the insurance company, and shipping supplies directly to the patient’s door. Throughout its long history, the company has earned a reputation for putting customers first, including being the first company to ship products in plain brown boxes to protect patient privacy and providing 5-star customer service and attention to detail that has earned the company a 98% customer satisfaction rate. Over the years, HCD has added products for patients needing supplies for diabetes management, urological conditions, wound care, and ostomy.

To commemorate the company’s silver anniversary, every HCD employee received a personalized gift box conveying the company’s gratitude for each team member’s dedication and compassion for the nearly half a million customers served. In addition, the team came together at a virtual townhall meeting highlighting the company’s 25 years. Remarks from the CEO and COO focused on the company’s success in providing every customer with a world-class experience every time and creating a culture that takes care of both teammates and customers as if they are a member of your family.
